DJ S1FTER fills in, putting the garage back into garage, and maybe even putting a porch on the Porsche. This time he goes MkII Zephyr style and adds a few Kiwi artists –  Scribe, P Money, and a funky Poi E remix. The Jag also gets some attention with tracks from English gangster movie Snatch (“I’ve seen Snatch… and I like it”- DJ S1FTER) bookending the mix with some good R’n’B and Blues Brothers thrown in to keep it worldly. As usual there is a fine selection of house with WaFF, Marlon Hoffstadt & Dansson, and Sideburn & Viktor Kaman. And S1FTER kinda apologises for the Hall & Oates… kinda.

The show: Baby

One for the music nerds out there, the amazing story of Donnie & Joe Emerson. A farmer notices that his sons are really into music so he builds them a studio and they record a lost classic in 1979.

Been listening to Ariel Pink’s new album “Mature Themes” and enjoying his cover of Donnie and Joe Emerson’s 1979 lost classic “Baby”. Apparently it’s been known about for years in record collector circles but I only found out about it recently via The Guardian Music Weekly 8 June 2012 podcast.

Record collectors can now rejoice because Light in The Attic Records is reissuing the “Dreamin’ Wild” album on fresh vinyl.

And here’s what the hype is about. Dig those Christine McVie style vocals…
