X-Ray Charles are Brian Feary and James Sullivan. They have a love of jangly pop, hi-hats, fuzzy guitars, and lo-fi melodies. If Dinosaur Jr. hadn’t got fat and lazy they might have sounded like this. Have a listen to “Heavy Fast” and you’ll know what we mean.

By the way, Brian Feary also hosts the legendary Sheep Technique here on RDU. It used to be on Wednesday nights but you can now find it on Monday afternoons 4.40pm to 6.30pm. Always a good way to find out what’s happening in the Christchurch music scene.
