Bublé and Speak

For the first hour of today’s show we’re reheating the leftovers from last week’s francophile Sunday Roast mix, courtesy of Paul Duncan.

For the final hour The Herb Whisperer fills in to show a previously undisclosed fondness for Yorkshire Chansonniers (and 70’s Polish pop).

Paul Duncan presents Le Rôti du Dimanche

The last we heard from Paul Duncan was his final Sunday Roast show way back in March 2016, just before he disappeared into the French hinterland.

After a turbulent 18 months navigating the fall out of Brexit and the near miss of a Marine Le Pen Presidency, he’s emerged unbowed to produce his first guest mix for The Joint. In so doing he now becomes our official Nouvelle-Aquitaine Correspondent.

The show: Failing to bridge the generation gap

Can men of advanced years continue to broadcast saucy tunes made by young people without appearing, at best, odd or, at worst, creepy?

We’re not sure, so we invite you to listen to all of Posi+ive by Babeo Baggins in your own time.

The Show: Heavenly (K) Pop Hit

Slightly truncated first hour of the show as we completely failed to bypass the extensive security on the RDUnit and triggered all sorts of alarms.

Apologies to our neighbours for the unbearable noise and incessant whining.

And the alarms.
