In terms of incongruousness, this is up there with the footage of PiL on America Bandstand we mentioned a few months ago. Same year, 1980, but this time it’s Yellow Magic Orchestra wowing Soul Train’s audience.

It’s just sad it took the untimely passing of Ryuichi Sakamoto to bring it to our attention.
