The Show: Penultimate

This is our second to last show before we go on sabbatical. 15 years of The Joint wraps up next Saturday 12pm – 4pm. Those years have just flown by.

Speaking of time passing quickly, here’s back in the day when music was betterer apparently. Especially it when needed Two Ronnies to be Jimmy Saville. Freaky. RIP Ronnie Corbett (1930-2016).

The Show: If band stage positions were football formations…

Joel Gion parks the bus.

…what was The Brian Jonestown Massacre‘s formation last night at The Foundry? 4-2-1? 1-3-2-1? 1-3-3? Was Joel Gion a false nine deliberately distracting us with tambourine trickery. Was Anton Newcombe playing the classic trequartista role but unconventionally orchestrating action from the right flank instead of through the middle? Unconventional minds want to know.
