Happy 10th birthday Christchurch Art Gallery!!!

To celebrate their tin anniversary you will find some ginormous tin men (huge gnomes) outside the gallery entrance on Worcester Boulevard. There’s also a big marquee set up on the High Street / Tuam Street corner outside C1 with all sort of events happening this weekend to launch Populate! – the tenth-birthday programme of art round the city. Details about the weekend festivities here!

And not to be outdone Christchurch City Libraries have made the Freegal service available to library members. Three free legit MP3 downloads a week from the Sony catalogue! Wonder if they’ve got any Freegal Sharkey?

The Show: Really fucking edgy

If you have the fascination / stomach to watch the original Signal 30 short, as described in today’s show, head on over to The Internet Archive.

Otherwise you can make do with the first official video from Public Service Broadcasting, wherein they sample some of the audio and images from the legendary 1959 snuff movie driving safety film.

…and onto our shoulder.

Apologies for the variable sound quality of today’s show. And by that we’re not just referring to the off-mic coughing fits, which we did attempt to suppress with Monkey Shoulder Whisky.

The Show: Hardcore score draw.

Looking out of the RDUnit.
Looking out of DJ bubble of the RDUnit on a winter day.
If we’d been paying attention we wouldn’t have left the mics on all the time.

It’s been quite a few years since RDU has had a comedy show.

So we tried to make up for it several times during the show today by inadvertently leaving the microphones after we had finished our voice breaks. Luckily you can’t quite hear who we call a c–t for singing badly, the phone numbers of our dealers, or the name of the politician who ate all the pies.
