The Show: But that day in February changed my mind…

Today, a plundering of Liam K. Swiggs‘ and The Big Fresh Collective‘s new compilation FOOTMAHI 004, lots of Ōtautahi cuts from Crooked Lidz’ FLANDIZ, Jess Aspinwall, And$um, The Ruling Elite, Model Home, Crimefront Kilmore, plenty of leftfield beats, plus DUB ASYLUM’s steel drum cover version of HERB’s ‘French Letter’…

The Show: Behold, Old Scratch in 6-string form…

We do like a good prank call. But if a phone isn’t available, email can be just as good. On Malcolm Gladwell’s new podcast BROKEN RECORD, Dave Hill recounts the time he posed as 19 year old ‘Lance’ from Gary, Indiana – founder of the world’s darkest metal band of all time – WITCH TAINT. Through an ongoing email conversation ‘Lance’ engages the legendary Saiitham of the Norwegian Black Metal community in witty passive-aggressive banter. It resulted in ‘Lance’ having to form said Witch Taint. Life imitates art.

The show: What peeps said we should have played last year

Today’s show 70’s rock, 80’s soundtracks, 90’s jungle & songs people tell us we should’ve played last year instead of the songs we did play.

Speaking of the 1980s, couldn’t resist sorry. Got reminded of the original last night and then this morning Woody aka Mudd of Sound Check reminded me of this lovely version of “I can’t go for that” as performed on Daryl Hall’s web TV show Live from Daryl’s House
