The Show: Dogshit Policies

Interstitial (been waiting to use that word for a while) spoken word pieces taken  from AOC’s questioning of Mark Zuckerberg during a recent US congressional hearing, with Zuckerberg’s responses neatly summarized by Nish Kumar during Bugle 4121 – “Dogshit policies”.

The Show: Gene Krupa – Drummin’ man

There’s a magnificent run of rhymes in the Davis song “Levert” we played today – sutures, computer, luger, Krueger, cougar, tutor, tumour and tuna amongst others – but the one that made us take notice was:

New lease on life learning drum like Gene Krupa

Nice to hear a name check for the drummin’ man.

As a special bonus you can peer behind the curtain at the inner (inane?) workings of The Joint when we forget to turn the microphones off at the 1:41:20 mark. Will these off-air comments prove to be our Rachel Smalley moment? Strain your ears to find out.

Some Things For The Weekend:

I’ve watched this a few times and I’m of the thinking that it’s one of the great TV / music moments- MIA on David Letterman:

I’ve watched this a few times and I’m of the thinking that Buju Banton (author of Boom Bye Bye) should get, ahem, a special birthday present in jail:

I’ve watched this twice and I’m of the sinking feeling that David Harvey is right when he says “Debt incumbent homeowners don’t go on strike”:

The show: Not a World Cup Final special

The headphone’s connected to the iPhone, iPhone’s connected to the Internet connected to the Google connected to the Government. Or so Mathangi Arulpragasam claims.

But we needn’t worry for too much longer as the “internet is over”. We give it until the end of July.

Alternatively, this is the raw, unpasteurized version of the show in mp3 format. No chapters, pictures or links. Slightly less quality. Otherwise the audio content is the same as the two files above. The choice is yours…..
