The Show: The Joint with The Herb Whisperer presents Miss America featuring NPR vs Peter Robinson x Songs

A long, and possibly unnecessary, title for today’s show but it’s a title very much in keeping with how our top pop stars now like to bill themselves (and in the process ensure their share of any dollar bills generated via streaming).

Peter Robinson from Popjustice wrote about this practice in The Guardian and joined NPR for a special All Songs Considered podcast to explain in more detail.

Pssst… The Herb Whisperer recommends buying the February 2012 issue of Mojo. The covermount CD is New Order’s 1983 masterpiece “Power, Corruption & Lies” covered, Blue Monday revisited, and  bonus tracks. Could have been a recipe for a disaster but you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Have a sneak preview of the tracks here.
