The show: Failing to bridge the generation gap

Can men of advanced years continue to broadcast saucy tunes made by young people without appearing, at best, odd or, at worst, creepy?

We’re not sure, so we invite you to listen to all of Posi+ive by Babeo Baggins in your own time.

Pssst… The Herb Whisperer recommends buying the February 2012 issue of Mojo. The covermount CD is New Order’s 1983 masterpiece “Power, Corruption & Lies” covered, Blue Monday revisited, and  bonus tracks. Could have been a recipe for a disaster but you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Have a sneak preview of the tracks here.

The show: Old acquaintances and new friends

As promised, today we played tracks from some old acquaintances such as …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead (didn’t realise they’d been around since 1993! but they were one of the first bands we played on The Joint when we started the show way back in 2001), Fujiya & Miyagi, and Destroyer. But even I wasn’t expecting The Herb Whisperer to play Wang Chung / Huang Chung!!!

We weren’t kidding about Rastamouse either.
