For reasons we won’t go into here, but you can read about there , August 11th 1973 is officially the day hip hop was born.
We’re not going to argue but instead use it as an excuse to present a 100% hip hop show show (albeit one week and one day late).
Starting with The Hood’s mash up “40 Years Of Hip Hop” , moving through our usual quotient of all things rap related, then onto BBC Radio 6’s Freak Zone “Freaky Hip Hop Mix” and rounding things off with Paul White’ s free mix tape “Everything You’ve Forgotten” .
