The show: Born too late or born too soon?

Quite like this Dent May fellow. He makes good, honest, truthful, wholesome videos that show off his waterskiing prowess, hanging around in fairgrounds, and frolicking in waterfalls.

Apologies for the quality of sound – the RDU transmitter was playing up today, including a complete digital meltdown at the 18 and a half minute mark – but here’s the playlist in full…

The Show: Cold like a lager beer

Some stars are serious about being not serious and some stars are not serious about being serious. Our favourite Canadian Tiga doesn’t seem to care too much and lets the sock puppets in his head do the talking. Watch the video above for some excellent DIY media and PR training.

The Show: You’re a winner when you beat the game

Near the start of the show I played Red 7‘s “I Lost My Shoes On Acid” (we’ve all been there, haven’t we?). I recently nabbed the track from the fantastic Keytars & Violins blog and thought that the vocal sample was quite familiar. Turned out to be Hugh Masekela’s 1984 hit “Don’t Go Lose It Baby”. A blast from the past, as they say.

And we finished off the show with Pet Shop Boys’ second single “Vocal” off their latest album “Electric”. Have a peek at the video below. It’s made up of footage of what looks like late 80s early 90s raves. Bloody brilliant.
