The Show: Hardcore score draw.

Looking out of the RDUnit.

Looking out of DJ bubble of the RDUnit on a winter day.
If we’d been paying attention we wouldn’t have left the mics on all the time.

It’s been quite a few years since RDU has had a comedy show.

So we tried to make up for it several times during the show today by inadvertently leaving the microphones after we had finished our voice breaks. Luckily you can’t quite hear who we call a c–t for singing badly, the phone numbers of our dealers, or the name of the politician who ate all the pies.

The show: RIP MCA (1964 – 2012)

Rest in peace Adam Yauch, you crazy motherflipper.

Your voice had more gravel than a quarry, I’m sure your tongue must have been made of sandpaper, you made some crazy albums, and not forgetting that you, Mike D and Adrock gave our show its name. So thank you for the good times…

The Sights And Sounds Of Saturations

Just in case we didn’t make ourselves clear on Saturday’s show (and listening to the playback we probably didn’t) the new Saturations album Runaway is now available to purchase over at Bandcamp for NZ$1 per track or $9.90 for all 10. Have a listen below:

Blair Parkes, Mr Saturations himself, has put together videos for three songs, one from the new album and two from last years self-titled EP. They have a permanent home over at NZIndieScene’s YouTube channel but no need to click and search – we’ve posted them below for your ease and comfort.

The show: Crazy diamonds

In lieu of having to write anything of substance, here are two lovely new videos to distract you from our writing impotence…

First up, the new Fistful of Gems‘ video “Diamond” by ex-Tiger Tones member Mark Wundercastle.

Second up, Flat Eric & William Fichtner play chess while promoting the new Mr Oizo free EP “Stade 3″.

The show: Huh?

Huh? That’s right. Spiritualized are back with their new album “Sweet Heart Sweet Light”. It’s like Jason Pierce disappears for years at a time but has an impeccable knack of always picking up where he left off. And he does good epics, like “Hey Jane”…
