Can’t believe I forgot it was Bruce Springsteen. Always get it mixed up with “I’m on fire”. Now, there’s a classic.

Found “Revolver” vinyl at Real Groovy while in Auckland for Laneway Festival. “Tomorrow Never Knows” would have to be one of the greatest tracks of all time. I can’t remember all the details but pretty sure most, if not all, of the instrument tracks are backwards. I think there’s a little bit in “I Am The Walrus” which does the same thing. Pure magic. Drumming also reminds me a bit of “Ticket To Ride”. Someone somewhere would have done the full nerdy muso analysis.

Great show guys. Every time I hear The Beatles ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’ I’m blown away by how damn cool and way ahead of it’s time that track is. It’s almost ageless. Did George Harrison have a time machine or something? The drumming is so Joy Division/Oasis/The Jam and the samples – what the hell people must have thought when it came out in 1966 I would like know.

Ta. The one consistent failing we have on the show (in amongst all the other occasional failings) is pronunciations and translations.
